Will there be another wave of the epidemic in Hungary after a free summer?

More and more people are being vaccinated against the coronavirus in Hungary. Summer is here, restaurants, spas, beaches, and entertainment venues are open. As a result, tourism restarted. The situation is similar to last year, except this year, there is already a vaccine to protect us. Is that enough to avoid a carefree summer being accompanied by another wave in the fall?
As more and more people are vaccinated, the daily mortality rate decreases. As a result, restrictions will soon be a thing of the past. If the borders open, everything will be like it was before the epidemic. However, many wonder whether it will be the same as last year. That is, whether, after a mild summer, the daily coronavirus infection and mortality rate would rise again in the fall and winter.
There was no vaccine last year, however, nor was the more dangerous Delta variant present.
Now, everyone is watching London and the British, writes index.hu. After all, the British won the European Union vaccination competition. Brexit and the British vaccine helped them to achieve this. As a result, they were able to lift the restrictions sooner. The Delta variant of the coronavirus changed everything. Current vaccines do not fully protect against the Delta variant after the first dose. In addition, many under 18 caught this coronavirus mutant as they were not vaccinated. In Britain, there are many Indian workers living and working there, thanks to which the Indian variant may have spread there, writes borsonline.hu.
The Hungarian vaccination programme differs from the British method.
The British goal was to get as many people as possible to get at least one vaccine. In Hungary, on the other hand, they wanted to provide everyone with the necessary two doses as soon as possible. At least, that was the plan, even if it did not work out perfectly. In Hungary, the Indian variant is not widespread. However, 200 thousand Hungarians live in Britain, and since they also travel, the large-scale surge of the Delta variant is only a matter of time. So far, little data is available. In addition, the Hungarian vaccine is being developed, which is researching the virus sample found in Hungary. So, there is hope that this fall will be better than last year.
