Uzbekistan’s Business Development Bank strengthens partnerships with European Financial Institutions

JSCB Business Development Bank is actively supporting Uzbekistan’s economic transformation while reinforcing its role as a trusted and forward-looking partner for international financial institutions. 

The bank remains firmly committed to expanding its international presence and fostering long-term cooperation, particularly with leading institutions across the European Union.

To date, the bank has established strong working relationships with several major European financial institutions, including the European Investment Bank, the French Development Agency (AFD), Commerzbank, AKA Bank, Helaba, ODDO BHF, Raiffeisen Bank, and UBAF.

Furthermore, the bank has accumulated valuable experience in financing investment projects in collaboration with export credit agencies such as Germany’s Hermes and Austria’s OeKB.

As a result of these efforts, the bank has concluded agreements amounting to more than €110 million with institutions such as the European Investment Bank, Commerzbank, AKA Bank, Helaba, and ODDO BHF. In addition, partnership agreements totaling €56 million have been signed with AFD, Raiffeisen Bank, and UBAF.

As part of these partnerships, the bank provides financing to support entrepreneurship, including women-led businesses, and facilitates the implementation of international trade agreements.

Furthermore, with the support of development banks such as AFD and KfW, the Business Development Bank is working to integrate international best practices into its operations. These efforts also include providing professional training and organizing workshops aimed at strengthening the capacity of local entrepreneurs.
