U.S. Army lieutenant general praises Hungarian soldiers

A U.S. Army lieutenant general spoke highly of Hungarian soldiers participating in the joint American–Spanish–Hungarian military exercise named Saber Guardian 2025.

In a video posted Saturday on Hungarian Defence Minister KristΓ³f Szalay-Bobrovniczky’s Facebook page, Lieutenant General Charles David Costanza, commander of the U.S. Army’s V Corps, stated: β€œYou gotta be together and serve together in order to get that level of interoperability.”

He added:

β€œThe other thing I’ll just tell you about the Hungarian soldiers, I’m super impressed by their professionalism and the pride they have to be in the army β€” and also the pride of their equipment. The equipment you put on demonstration today, the Lynx in particular, it’s an amazing piece of equipment. I’m jealous! I’m gonna try and steal that one and bring it back to the United States!”

According to a previous statement from the Hungarian Ministry of Defence, the exercise, which began on 6 June, involved around 800 troops from the Hungarian Defence Forces, approximately 1,400 from the United States, and nearly 450 from the Spanish military.
