Technology worth over EUR 23m purchased for Budapest health scheme

Medical technology and information technology equipment worth 8.3 billion forints (EUR 23m) have been supplied to medical service providers in the framework of the Healthy Budapest scheme, the human resources minister said on Monday.

The development scheme will help 23 hospitals and out-patient clinics, he told a press conference.

The fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic is a top priority but patient security and service quality are also important factors, he added. As a result, the government is continuing its 700 billion forint scheme which runs until 2026, Kásler said.

The current 8.3 billion forint spending serves quality improvement by way of new diagnostics tools, therapeutical and IT equipment in the health sector, he said.
