Some 140,000 offered free language courses abroad

Hungarian students have 60 days left and institutions 30 days left to apply for free language courses abroad financed by the government, the human resources ministry’s commissioner in charge of the scheme said on Monday.

Young people in their 9th and 10th year of school are offered 2,000 euros per person each year to cover the costs of a language course, travel, insurance and spending money, Monika Bartos told public news channel M1.

Two-week courses in English, French or German can be selected in 318 accredited language schools abroad,

she added.
