Ruling Fidesz launches petition to remove “traitors” from politics in Hungary

Ruling Fidesz will launch a signature drive “so that those plotting with Brussels against Hungary should disappear from public life,” the party’s group leader said on Facebook on Sunday.

Máté Kocsis insisted that the opposition Tisza Party had made an alliance with the European People’s Party “to harm Hungary”. “They have admitted to have hindered hospital renovations and damage the economy through withholding community funding,” Kocsis said.

Tisza is “ready to do anything in return for the rolling euros,” the group leader said. Kocsis encouraged voters to support the signature drive online.
