Rare: Poland represented Hungary’s interests on Russia-Ukraine crisis summit
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán travelled to Brussels on Thursday afternoon to attend the European Union-Africa summit there, the prime minister’s press chief told news portal origo.hu.
“Orbán asked the Polish prime minister [Mateusz Morawiecki] to represent Hungary’s interests at an extraordinary EU summit on the Russia-Ukraine crisis around midday,
while he meets with Brazilian President [Jair] Bolsonaro in Budapest,”
Bertalan Havasi said.
Earlier this week, Orbán discussed the Russia-Ukraine crisis over the phone with Charles Michel, the president of the European Council, and they “reviewed and evaluated” the situation, he said.
