Popular Hungarian spa to undergo significant development, expansion – VISUALS

The Zsóry Spa in Mezőkövesd (Northeast Hungary) will undergo a HUF 4.4bn upgrade, András Tállai, a state secretary at the Agriculture Ministry, said on Friday.
Tállai said the spa had won HUF 3.2bn (EUR 7.92 million) of funding for energy improvements and HUF 1.1bn (EUR 2.72 million) to develop tourism infrastructure and services. The upgrade will expand the area of the spa to 6,600 sqm, he added.

Tállai said the development would be a milestone in Mezőkövesd’s life. The old wave and circular pools will be replaced by completely new, waterworld-like adventure, family, and sports pools, a water playground, and a cascade pool. Furthermore, a brand-new and modern access control system will await visitors.
As part of the project, the bath’s energy supply will also be renewed: a new machine house, a drilled well, solar panel systems and energy-saving technologies will secure the new facility’s sustainability.

Additionally, interactive exhibitions will be launched in Mezőkövesd, Tard and Szentistván, presenting the Matyó culture and showing the strength and values of local traditions.

According to Tállai, the development will be a long-term investment in local communities, tourism and the future of Mezőkövesd.

At the end of the video, you may find some visuals of how the new pools and the bath will look:
