Orbán re-elected vice president of Centrist Democrat International

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the leader of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, has been re-elected as vice president of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI), a Christian democratic political formation.

Orbán was re-elected at the oranisation’s general meeting in Brussels.

CDI’s website shows that its current president is Andres Pastrana Arango of Colombia, and its Secretary General is Antonio Lopez-Isturiz White, a Spanish MEP who is also Secretary-General of the EPP.

Among European prime ministers, Slovenia’s Janez Jansa and Croatia’s Andrej Plenkovic are also CDI vice presidents.
