Orban discusses migration, EU future with Polish Senate president

Budapest, September 13 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Tuesday met Polish Senate President Stanislaw Karczewski in Parliament to discuss the migrant crisis and the future of the European Union, the prime minister’s press chief said.

During their talks, Orbán and Karczewski stressed that Hungary and Poland are in full agreement on both issues, Bertalan Havasi said.

They also underlined the importance of the Visegrad Four cooperation in making sure that its member states — which also include the Czech Republic and Slovakia — work towards strengthening the EU along the principle of national sovereignty.

Orbán and Karczewski praised their countries’ 1,000-year-long relationship which they said was a good basis for further strengthening their friendship.
