New vehicle brand enters the Hungarian market

Farizon, the LCV brand of Chinese vehicle manufacturer Geely, has entered the Hungarian market with two models available at its first dealer, Duna Auto, the dealer and listed car seller Autowallis announced jointly on Tuesday.

Geely Auto Group has signed an agreement with Autowallis to act as Farizon’s importer in Central and Eastern Europe, expanding the car seller’s brand offering to 24.

Duna Auto business development director Zoltán Markó said a few hundred of Farizon’s models may be sold in Hungary in the first year. Sales are greatly influenced by government subsidies for EVs. It is realistic for the Farizon brand to achieve a 20pc market share in the electric commercial vehicle segment, he added.
