New Catholic Church Opens in Budapest

Budapest (MTI) – A newly built Catholic church has opened in Budapest’s 11th district that has been named after Blessed Zoltan Meszlenyi, a Catholic priest who died after tortures by Communist security forces in 1951.
A holy mass was celebrated by Cardinal Peter Erdo with 32 other priests on Friday evening.
Meszlenyi’s beatification was started by Erdo in 2004 and Pope Benedict approved the documents in 2009.
