New busó statues welcome you in Mohács

According to Hungarian traditions, the carnival season has always been the time to drive away winter with noisy razzle-dazzle. Every year, thousands of people gather together to watch the spectacular and world-famous Busós marching on the streets of Mohács, Hungary.

To commemorate this traditional celebration, the city of Mohács inaugurated a group of statues in the Pécsi road roundabout. The three busós welcome the cars entering the city with wide arms.

The statues were deigned and brought to life by Ferenc Trischler.
