Mysterious Hungarian family photos found in an Australian small town

40-year-old photos have been found in the street of Cromer, an Australian town. The pictures are black and white and show a young couple’s wedding and other people around them, dailytelegraph.com.au reported the event.

It is thought that the photos have a Hungarian link, since Budapest is written on the back of some and there are other details in Hungarian.

The photos were in an envelope and they were found by the 45-year-old visual merchandiser Kylie Jackson. The woman said the envelope was left in the street outside her home.

According to the Australian website dailytelegraph.com.au, the date on the envelope is November 8, 1972. Words on the back of the photos include the phrase “emlékül sok szeretettel” (for memories with love).

Some of the photos were taken in Budapest in the 1960s.
