Meanwhile on Kékes: the first snow has arrived in Hungary

Kékestető is the peak of Hungary’s highest mountain with the height of 1014 meters above sea level. The first snow of the season chose arrive right there last night.
As it can be seen on Hungary’s most popular weather forecast website, idokep.hu, it is still snowing in the Mátra – Hungary’s highest area above sea level –, although not on Kékestető, but really near that.
Last night it was Kékestető that the first snow of the season chose to present its snowflakes for. The northern parts of the country can expect 1-2 cms in the upcoming days, while the rest of the country will still have to wait to see the streets glowing in white.
