Martonyi urges swift signing of EU-Malaysia free trade pact

Budapest, March 12 (MTI) – It is in Hungary’s interest that talks between Malaysia and the European Union on a free trade pact should advance forward and be established as quickly as possible, Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi said today.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Malaysian counterpart, Anifah Aman, he said dialogue on the free trade pact was “not easy” but hopefully the talks would lead to an outcome, and Hungary would like to contribute towards this process.

The minister noted that he and his counterpart had discussed a bilateral agreement on agriculture and pork exports.
