Ministry: Dreaded disease detected in Hungary after more than 50 years

Foot-and-mouth disease has been detected at a cattle farm in Kisbajcs, in the west of the country, the chief veterinarian said at a press conference on Friday.

Szabolcs Pásztor (fetured image) said the disease had last been detected in Hungary in 1973. A protection zone has been established around the farm, he added.
