Logo for AFCON 2025 in Morocco unveiled

The official logo for the AFCON Morocco-2025 was unveiled on the evening of Saturday, 25 January, by the supreme body of African football. It comes just two days before the draw for the pan-African tournament, scheduled to run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
The video announcing the official logo of the 35th edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) highlights Morocco’s heritage, particularly zellige.
It is a real tribute to Morocco, where a love of football is second nature in the genes of young people keen to perpetuate the tradition and continue to place the country at the forefront of hospitality for African countries.
The draw for the AFCON Morocco-2025 took place on Monday, 27 January, at 7pm at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, in the presence of senior officials and the continent’s top football stars.
“The choice of Morocco as the host country of the African Cup of Nations comes as no surprise”, according to CAF (Confédération Africaine de Football), “given its proven experience in organising international football competitions”, wrote CAF in a statement published on its official website, recalling the Kingdom’s success in organising the African Championship of Nations for Local Players (CHAN-2018), the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations and the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup.
“Thanks to world-class infrastructures, a passionate public, and recognised experience in hosting major sporting events, Morocco is ready to organise an African Cup of Nations that will redefine the standards of this competition,” reads the press release, pointing out that the announcement that Morocco had been chosen as the host country of the African Cup of Nations 2025 on 27 September 2023 had been received with “enthusiasm”.
The Confederation of African Football also reviewed the Kingdom’s large-scale sports facilities, including the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, the Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat, the major stadiums in Tangiers, Agadir and Marrakech, as well as the sports complex in Fez.
The competition is scheduled to kick off on 21 December 2025, with the final on 18 January 2026.
The draw for the CAN 2025 group stage took place this Monday in Rabat, Morocco, the host country.
