Campaign start: PM Orbán’s leading politicians set off on a tour of the country in April

Leading politicians of the governing Fidesz and KDNP parties will set off on a tour of the country early next month, Tamás Menczer, communications director of the ruling parties said in a video posted on Facebook on Sunday.

Manfred Weber and Ursula von der Leyen want to bring Ukraine into the European Union, and very quickly, Menczer said. This entails many dangers, he added.

“Ukraine’s EU membership would destroy the Hungarian economy, the Hungarian farmers’ subsidies would go to Ukraine as would our EU funds, and we would have to send an additional 200 billion forints a year to Ukraine,” he said. “There are all those weapons, organised crime and health risks,” he added. “We have to decide on our future, and the future of our children and grandchildren,” Menczer said.
