Kid Cudi to replace A$AP Rocky at Sziget festival 2025 in Budapest

A$AP Rocky recently cancelled several European concerts scheduled for August, and now the wave of cancellations has reached Sziget. However, the organisers were quick to fill the gap: Kid Cudi will headline the Main Stage on Friday at Sziget.

Grammy Award-winning American rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and producer Kid Cudi will be one of this year’s headliners at Sziget after A$AP Rocky unexpectedly and suddenly cancelled several European concerts, including the one at Sziget, the organisers announced.

Cudi is one of the most interesting phenomena in American hip hop and R&B culture, a true musical trendsetter. He burst onto the music scene in 2008 and quickly climbed to the top of the Billboard charts with his debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, which went double platinum. Throughout his career, he has released several successful albums, selling over 22 million copies and winning two Grammy Awards. According to the latest news, Cudi is working on a new album, the first single of which, Neverland, was released in May this year.

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, is interesting because he was the first musical inspiration for Travis Scott, who took the name Scott in his stage name out of respect, as he has always been a big fan of Kid Cudi and, as he has said before, considers him a true ‘superhero’.
