The Hungarian stand will present literary volumes published over the past years by classic and contemporary authors, as well as titles released for the fair in Swedish, Judit Hammerstein, the director of the Budapest Balassi Institute, told reporters on Tuesday.

Authors featured include Nobel laureate Imre Kertesz, 2015 Booker International Prize laureate Laszlo Krasznahorkai, Peter Esterhazy and Daniel Varro among the contemporaries, as well as the classic authors Antal Szerb and Dezso Kosztolanyi, she said.

The Hungarian stand’s design and several programmes including film screenings and concerts will promote Budapest as well.
