Hungarian official mocks EU’s Kaja Kallas, calls Brussels ‘powerless’ on world stage

Referring to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas’s recent visit to Washington, DC, cabinet official Balázs Hidvéghi said Brussels had “delivered” more “shame”, as the former Estonian prime minister “was not received by anyone”, a clear indication of her and the bloc’s “clout in world politics”.

“Today the world is working towards peace, so who cares about Kaja Kallas’ famous warmongering?” the parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister’s cabinet said in a post on Facebook on Friday.

“It’s doubtful whether someone who vociferously agitates for Russia’s destruction and advocates sanctions” could be taken seriously, he said, when her husband was “working strenuously for Russian businesses”. “The Trump tornado in Washington and the patriotic hurricane in Brussels” would bring a bout of fresh air, he added.
