Former MEP Szájer became a gay icon in Italy

It seems like the scandal around former MEP József Szájer also inspired an Italian street artist. Laika painted József Szájer on an Fidesz logo in unusual clothing for a graffiti in Rome, which made the front page of the gay.it portal.
The former MEP is almost naked in the picture, having a Hungarian coat of arms on his left arm as a tattoo, which also includes a rainbow referring to the LGBTQI community. According to the analysis of Index, several naked men can be seen behind Szájer.
In Hungary, the Orbán government is literally declaring war on the LGBTQ community, they want to deprive them of all their rights
the artist told Index. According to his confession, he dreams of a world where, for instance, József Szájer can experience his sexuality freely, without having to hide it from his own party.
I dream of a world where everyone, regardless of identity and sexual orientation, has the same rights in a society free of prejudice.
According to the artist, all people have the same rights.
I am grateful to you, József Szájer, for publicly living your gender identity and challenging intolerance. From today, you are the new gay icon.
