Police have apprehended a Kosovan national when he tried to smuggle 11kg of marijuana into Hungary over the Hungarian-Serbian border at Röszke, the Csongrád-Csanád County Prosecutor’s Office said on Wednesday.

Police found the drug in the car the man tried to cross the border with on Sunday. The prosecutor’s office said there was a flight risk, and has initiated detention during the procedure, the statement said.
