The unbelievable behaviour of a Hungarian kitchen worker was recorded by his colleague and published on Reddit.
When we eat out, we hope for the best treatment as we pay a higher price for the food than if we would prepare it at home for ourselves. In a fast-food restaurant, prices are lower, of course, for the lack of waiters and generally the services provided. Nevertheless, these establishments also need to comply with rigorous health regulations.

What happened on August 9 in a Hungarian McDonald’s is the complete opposite. During his night shift, a kitchen worker was preparing a hamburger in a scandalously disgusting way, wrote kuruc.info.
He touched a slice of cheese with the sole of his shoes, then picked up two hamburger patties from the floor.
His colleague recorded the incident, and someone posted the video on Reddit with the following caption: “This is how you should ask for sh*t without cucumber and onion at night, hoping it would be fresh”. He even added a heart emoji. In the original version, you could hear someone in the background saying “extra cheesy”. Since then, the video is not available anymore on the site.

24.hu reached out to the PR agency representing the Hungarian restaurants of McDonald’s. The news site wanted to know whether the agency and the restaurant knew about the incident, if they started an investigation and in which restaurant the outrageous scene happened.
“After receiving the information, we immediately started an internal investigation, which is currently in progress.
We want to clearly state that the behaviour seen on the video is without precedent and absolutely unacceptable in our company.
We pay particular importance to food safety and quality insurance in our McDonald’s restaurants.”
Not long after their answer, the agency sent an announcement directly to the news site. They said that
upon completing the investigation, those involved in the making of the video were fired.
The communiqué also included the words of the two, now ex-workers. They both highlighted that the video was made as a joke at night when there were no customers, and they did not wish to humiliate the fast-food chain. They sent the video to some friends, who made it public and viral.
