Canary Islands Government wants Hungarian tourists

According to vg.hu, the Canary Islands government announced a tender for the launch of direct flights between Hungary and the island of Fuerteventura from the beginning of November this year – told the newspaper La Vanguardia.
According to the proposal, the applicants can submit their bids until February 15, and they have to undertake the operation of at least one round-trip flight. Tourism counselor Blas Acosta said Hungary is one of Eastern Europe’s emerging markets, and the flights help the Canary Islands to achieve growth on this market – the newspaper wrote.
Fuerteventura is the second largest island of the island group where the weather is nice all year, making it a popular tourist destination.
The Canary archipelago is Spain’s third most popular resting place; 11.6 million foreign tourist visited the islands last year, vg.hu wrote.
