Budapest’s Airport passenger numbers reach new record in August

Budapest, September 4 (MTI) – Passenger numbers at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport reached 1,086,000 in the month of August, a new monthly record.

In August, passenger numbers at the airport were up by 15 percent compared to the same month a year earlier. Passenger numbers in January-August rose by 12.7 percent year-on-year to 6,800,000.

London, Paris and Brussels remained the most popular destinations.

Last year 9,155,000 passengers used the airport.
