People from the UK, US, Germany, Poland, Spain have flooded Budapest, boosting its tourism

Performances by headliners Guns N’ Roses, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Lopez lifted turnover at tourism accommodations in the capital during the week of July 14-20, Visit Hungary said on Wednesday.
Around 175,000 guests stayed at tourism accommodations in Budapest during the week, 10pc more than in the preceding week, figures from the National Tourism Data Service Centre (NTAK) show. The number of guest nights increased 8pc to 347,000.
Foreign visitors, most from the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Poland and Spain, accounted for 86pc of the total. Visitor numbers were up one-third on July 15, the day Guns N’ Roses played for fans.
The number of Hungarians who booked rooms in Budapest when Jennifer Lopez performed on Sunday climbed 20pc from the same day a week earlier.
