Surprising results: Hungarians want to travel to these destinations from Budapest Airport

The number of Chinese air connections is rapidly growing, but Hungarians refused to include Chinese cities in the top 5. Instead, they voted for US and Japanese cities.

Budflyer, a Hungarian Facebook page focusing on air travel news, initiated and conducted the online voting. According to the results, Hungarians would like to travel to the following destinations from the Hungarian capital:

1. New York
2. Tokyo
3. Bangkok
4. Miami
5. Chicago

The desire for a Budapest-New York flight is unquestionable. Furthermore, there were announcements about a direct flight to Bangkok, but nothing more happened than promises from Air Asia X. We covered that topic in THIS article.

There is no news about direct flights between Budapest and the USA. We regularly write that despite Wizz Air’s active expansion and the purchase of long-range Airbus A321XLR aircraft, the Hungarian budget airline plans to go to the East instead of the West, despite the Hungarian diaspora living in the USA.
