5 Million Hungarians on the Net

According to the infographics of Gemius, more than 5 million Hungarian people are using the Internet, hvg.hu reports.

5 150 thousand people are using the Internet in Hungary, which is more than 60% of the population above 15 years. This means that Hungary is a little above the European average.

The infographics shows several interesting information. Nearly 52% of the Internet users are men, the rest of them are women. Almost half of the users are between 18 and 39 years. However, 7% of the Internet users are over 60.

Gemius polled that nearly a quarter of the Internet users have a college or a university degree. 40% of them finished secondary school, 20% of them finished vocational school. Gemius also polled the users according to occupation. 21% of the users are skilled workers, 16% are students, the rest of the users are – among others – knowledge workers, enterprisers and pensioners.
