The coolest astronaut in the world is coming to Budapest

Chris Hadfield, one of the most well known astronauts in the world is coming to Budapest, origo.hu reports. The former commander of the International Space Station will be a guest at the Brain Bar, Europe’s biggest festival on future thinking.
Chris Hadfield became famous during his stay on the ISS, between December 2012 and March 2013. His scientific videos on how to perform everyday tasks in space as well as his stunning photos of Earth attracted many followers through social media. His cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity, performed in space, has got more than 32 million views.
The Canadian astronaut has Hungarian relations as well: his son married a Hungarian woman. Hadfield greeted the family of his “beloved daughter-in-law” with a photo of Budapest from space.
In 2013, Forbes named Hadfield the most famous astronaut after Neil Armstrong. Hadfield announced his retirement a month after returning from the ISS. He has been giving lectures in recent years, and he also published his memoir entitled An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.
His talk at the Brain Bar called Space vs. Earth: The View from the Future will presented on June 3, on Szent István Square, in Budapest. The event is free, more info here.
