Global superstar arrives in Budapest: Jennifer Lopez prepares for an unforgettable sold-out concert

Jennifer Lopez will finally make a long-held dream come true for her Hungarian fans on Sunday night as she takes to the stage in Budapest for the first time, performing to a sold-out crowd at the MVM Dome. The global superstar arrived by private jet at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport on Saturday, fresh from a concert in Tenerife just the night before. Lopez and her entourage were escorted into the city by a fleet of luxury vehicles, with organisers going to great lengths to keep the details of her arrival under wraps.
Green Stage Production, the concert’s organiser, began negotiations with Lopez’s tour management back in 2020. However, the pandemic delayed the event by several years. The show is finally taking place this summer as part of the “This Is Me… Now: The Tour”, a European-Asian trek spanning 34 days, with 20 performances across various countries. In addition to Budapest, the tour includes stops in Bucharest and Warsaw.
Watch out for scammers: Fake tickets circulating
According to Világgazdaság, local excitement over the concert is immense: all standing-room and lower-priced seated tickets sold out days ago. Demand is so high that VIP meet-and-greet packages — priced at 610,000 forints — were snapped up in no time. But with the soaring interest has come a rise in fraud: organisers report that counterfeit tickets are being sold on the black market. They urge fans to purchase passes exclusively through official channels such as Green Stage or Evetnim.
The concert will also feature a unique local touch: during her performance, Jennifer Lopez will be refreshing herself with Chernel natural spring water from Vas County. The premium Hungarian mineral water, once a favourite of Empress Maria Theresa, was selected through a blind tasting conducted at the organisers’ request.
Jennifer Lopez arrived in Budapest on Saturday
According to Blikk, Lopez landed in Budapest around noon on Saturday aboard a private jet (photos can be viewed in Blikk’s article). A convoy of four black luxury vehicles awaited her at the airport and swiftly transported her to her accommodation under a veil of secrecy. While organisers have not disclosed her exact lodging, Blikk reports she is staying at a luxury hotel on the Buda side of the city.
Reports suggest J.Lo may have held rehearsal sessions on the day of her arrival, with one final dress rehearsal scheduled before Sunday night’s performance at the MVM Dome, which begins at 8 p.m. Her support crew and technical staff arrived in Budapest days in advance to ensure everything is ready for showtime.
The concert promises a spectacular production. Based on her recent performances, Jennifer Lopez is in peak form — not only vocally but also in her on-stage presence — dazzling audiences with bold outfits and high-energy choreography. All signs point to an unforgettable night in Budapest.
