State-owned Magyar Posta inaugurated a renovated post office in Halásztelek, on the outskirts of the capital, on Tuesday.

János Fónagy, a state secretary at the National Economy Ministry, said Magyar Posta had boosted efficiency, by restructuring its network of post offices, adjusting to the needs of its customers and raising the number or postal partners and mobile post offices, and now had the resources to upgrade some of its post offices.

Magyar Posta ensures the infrastructure for financial, logistics and conventional postal services even in Hungary’s smallest settlements, he added. Magyar Posta delivers over 400 million letters and 33 million packages a year. It also offers insurance, lending products and government securities, contributing to Hungary’s economic stability, Fónagy said.
