Free travel with Wizz Air as a birthday gift? Here’s the truth
According to the Hungarian low-cost airline’s statement, scammers are falsely claiming that, on the occasion of Wizz Air’s 21st birthday, a card can be purchased that allows free travel.
In the comment sections of some social media posts, numerous fake comments featuring AI-generated images of the alleged card appeared. Wizz emphasised that it did not sell any card that enables free travel.
While there was a discounted ticket sale for the birthday celebration, that promotion has already ended. The airline urges passengers to be cautious and only obtain information about promotions through its official channels, AIRportal.hu, a Hungarian air-travel-focused media outlet, wrote.
