Hungarian PMI rose above 50 in March

MTI-ECONEWS – Hungary’s seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.2 points in March, edging up from 51.1 in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Tuesday.

The PMI remained over the 50-point threshold that signals expansion in the manufacturing sector. The new orders index fell among the PMI sub-indices but was over the 50-point mark. The production volume index also dropped but still indicated expansion.

The employment index rose and showed a modest pickup. The delivery times index fell. The gauge of purchased inventories rose and was over the 50-point mark.
