PM Orbán believes that Ukraine has less chance than ever, the pro-war group is weak

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Wednesday, on his way to meet French President Emmanuel Macron for talks in Paris, that he wanted to “receive answers on why the French and the pro-war stance makes sense”.
Asked by a reporter what he expected from the meeting with Macron, Orbán noted “a fundamental change in that the US earlier was on the side of war but has now come over to the side of peace”.
“I would like to know that, seeing as the warring parties have failed to defeat Russia and help Ukraine to victory in three years with the US in the pro-war corner, why they think they can win this war now that the US is not there and so the pro-war camp is a lot weaker?”, Orbán said.

President Macron delivered a televised address to the nation before meeting PM Orbán at 8:30 PM today. In his speech, the French president said he would like to host all European army chiefs in Paris next week. Macron added that France had to be ready provided the United States was no longer on its side.
