Seemingly no chance that dozens of Hungarians universities can rejoin the Erasmus, Horizon programs

Hungary is the target of “political persecution” by Brussels because its government represents Hungarian interests on the issue of the Erasmus and Horizon Europe programmes, Balázs Hankó, the minister for culture and innovation, said in Strasbourg on Thursday.

“Brussels had no right to exclude Hungarian university students and researchers from the Erasmus and Horizon programmes,” Hankó told Hungarian reporters after a meeting of the MEPs of the Patriots for Europe (PfE) and the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) groups. “This move is unfair and unethical.” “We must be capable of steering Brussels towards normality,” the minister added.
