Hungary’s GVH fines food delivery company

Hungary’s Competition Office (GVH) has fined the operator of food delivery company Foodora HUF 35m for unfair business practices, the watchdog said on Friday.

During a promotional campaign in the autumn of 2023, Foodora customers were offered a HUF 2,000 discount and free delivery, but were not informed that the offer applied only to orders over HUF 6,000. Foodora’s operator was also fined HUF 20m for delaying the oversight procedure.
