No wasting food: Hungary’s Munch expands as Romanian Bonapp becomes subsidiary

Romania’s Bonapp will continue operation as a subsidiary of Munch, a Hungarian-developed platform that helps restaurants and supermarkets sell their unsold food at reduced prices, from February.
Munch said that with the expansion, Munch‘s partners in the region will grow close to 6,000. Last year, Munch helped save over 1.8 million packages of food. Responding to a query by MTI, Munch said the combined turnover of Munch and Bonapp could climb by a factor of 14 in the coming year. Munch declined to reveal the financial details of the transaction but said it was not, technically, a financial transaction, but rather a merger.
