Slim Korean influencer ate massive amount of Hungarian food in Budapest’s Pléhcsárda – VIDEO, PHOTOS

Pléhcsárda is famous for its immense fried schnitzels and traditional Hungarian dishes like tripe stew, Szekler-style cabbage, roast á la Brasov, and horse herdsman-style ragout. A skinny Korean influencer tried the delicious dishes and consumed an immense amount of food there. She also found the restaurant and its surroundings romantic, where she could experience the “European vibes”.

Skinny Korean influencer Tzuyang’s first in Europe: she chose Budapest

Tzuyang, a Korean influencer and Youtuber known for her so-called mukbang videos, arrived in Hungary. According to her first video about her visit to the popular Pléhcsárda in Budapest’s 14th district, she made at least seven more videos, meaning that she ate in at least seven more places in the Hungarian capital. However, eating is not the most suitable word for what she does. Mukbang videos are about a host eating various types and immense amounts of food while interacting with the audience. “The purpose of mukbang is also sometimes educational, introducing viewers to regional specialities or gourmet spots”, Wikipedia points out.

The Korean Youtuber has been to Europe for the first time, and, for some reason, she chose to visit Hungary’s capital, Budapest, first.

She ate 2 kg of schnitzel, 2 kg of cordon bleu and tripe stew

Pléhcsárda is well-known in Hungary for its gigantic schnitzels made of chicken and pork. Tzuyang ordered three, even though one is enough to satisfy a man with a hearty appetite. She said in the video that fried schnitzel is a very popular food in Eastern Europe and Hungary. She also said that when she arrived at the restaurant, she was amused by the “romantic European vibes”. That raised some eyebrows in Hungary since the place is on the outskirts of Budapest, in an area covered by huts and family houses. The Pléhcsárda does not look like a fancy restaurant either.

Anyway, she said she felt great inside and enjoyed the meals she tried, both the different schnitzels and the two bowls of tripe stew. Locals were astonished to see how much she could consume despite looking like a small, vulnerable lady. She said our fried schnitzel tasted and looked like the tonkatsu, the Korean version of schnitzel, a juicy, tender slice of pork coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs and fried until golden brown. Furthermore, she drank at least nine glasses of raspberry syrup.

444.hu believes that nobody in the 30-year-long history of the Pléhcsárda ate nearly as much as the Korean Youtuber. But, according to her first video, seven more will follow, which she made in Budapest. HERE you may check out her video.
