Former ambassador to Hungary celebrates Hungarian National Poetry Day – VIDEO
Iain Lindsay, the former British ambassador of Hungary, shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram feed last year about leaving the country and introducing his successor.
The Foreign Ministry of the UK announced in a press conference that, after four years, Iain would leave his office. His successor, Paul Fox, is the new British ambassador of Hungary from September 2020, but even though Iain Lindsay has left his office, he continued his tradition of reciting a poem in Hungarian on the Hungarian National Poetry Day, which is also the birthday of one of Hungary’s most well-known poet, Attila József.
