National consultation survey to show people’s support for epidemic measures, says official

The government’s “National Consultation” survey will show which measures against the novel coronavirus epidemic have the most support among Hungarians, Alexandra Szentkirályi, the government’s spokeswoman, said on Saturday, adding that the results would provide an important indicator when it comes to handling a second wave.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Szentkirályi called the recent jump in case numbers in Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria “worrying”.

Szentkirályi slammed opposition parties for “attacking the National Consultation”.

Those parties “have shown they do not support people voicing their opinion on important matters,” she said.
