How strong is the Hungarian passport globally?

Currently, Singapore holds the top spot, according to the ranking, allowing its citizens to travel visa-free to 195 destinations worldwide. This means Singaporeans can access almost any country without needing a visa. Sharing the second spot are France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain, each offering 194 visa-free destinations.

Seven countries, including Ireland and South Korea, are in third place, each with 191 visa-free destinations, Lelépő writes. The fourth place is occupied by six countries, including the United Kingdom, which provides access to 190 visa-free destinations.

Hungary’s passport ranks 7th, granting visa-free access to 187 destinations. This position indicates that Hungarian citizens can travel to 187 countries without needing a visa, underscoring the strength of the Hungarian passport on the global stage. Such a high ranking is particularly important for global mobility and international relations, as visa-free access greatly facilitates travel and business activities.

At the bottom of the list are Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Yemen, and Pakistan, occupying ranks between 100 and 103.
