Boat collision on the Danube: they are still being searched by rescue teams – photos

The details and photos of the missing persons from the Danube boat collision have been made public and police are searching for them.

An 18-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old man are the five missing persons who are still being searched for by the authorities after a boat accident near the main road 12 near Verőce on Saturday night, according to a post published on the Facebook page of the Budapest Police Headquarters on Monday afternoon.

Hundreds of people have been involved in the massive search for the five missing passengers of a speedboat that crashed near Verőce on Saturday night. It is now more a question of finding the fatalities, but the chances that the five missing survived the accident are becoming increasingly remote, according to a statement given to M1 on Monday by László Balázs, head of the Pest County Search and Rescue Service.

As we reported, on Saturday night, the hotel boat Heidelberg collided with a motorboat on the Danube near Verőce on the main road 12. Eight people were on board the speedboat.

The accident is certain to have killed a 20-year-old woman whose body was found near the Megyeri Bridge and a 39-year-old man whose body was found south of Verőce. A 35-year-old man survived the accident and managed to swim ashore.

The hotel boat was carrying 110 people, all of whom were being questioned by police on Sunday, according to the authorities.
