Horror: Decomposing body found in Budapest, foreign man drowns at Lupa Beach

A decomposing body was found in Budapest, in Terézváros. The body of a man in his 60s was found in an abandoned MÁV (Hungarian State Railways) depot.

The decomposing body of a man in his 60s was found in District 6 of Budapest, 24.hu reports. The press department of the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) said that there was no suspicion of foul play. They added that the police were investigating the circumstances of the incident in an administrative procedure.

A foreign man drowned in at Lupa Beach

Another tragedy occurred over the weekend. A middle-aged man of foreign nationality drowned in a quarry lake in Pest County, at Lake Lupa, the Pest County Search and Rescue Service said on Sunday evening.

The search for the missing person was started by local water rescuers, then joined by the Szentendre firefighters and divers from the Budapest Fire Brigade. The life of the submerged person could not be saved, rtl.hu reports.

The beach reacted to the tragedy in a statement. They write that a group of friends from abroad reported to the staff of Lupa Lake in Budakalász late Sunday afternoon that they had not been able to find one of their friends for some time. The beach security service immediately started a search on the beach and through the public address system, and the emergency services were also alerted.

After a long search, the missing man was found just before 8 PM, but unfortunately he could not be helped. According to his friends, he could not swim well, so they could not understand why he had ventured from the shallow coastal area into deeper water.
