Fidesz media: He will be the Hungarian Zelensky trying to overthrow Orbán

It seems that the Orbán government-close media has found the Hungarian Zelensky. According to their speculations, he will attempt to overthrow the prime minister in similar fashion like the media celeb Ukrainian president did to gain power in Kyiv with the help of Hungarian-born American philanthropist and businessman George Soros.

According to 444.hu, a Hungarian left-leaning media outlet, the Fidesz-close media launced a full-scale attack against Hungarian actor Ervin Nagy (featured image). Kristóf Trombitás, a journalist of the government-close Megafon, wrote that the Americans already started to build up his character. The first sign was Ambassador David Pressman’s invitation to a Passover Seder on which Nagy was seated next to Márton Gyöngyösi, the chairman of Jobbik. Here is their photo:

Dániel Deák, a government-close political analyst, believes in the same conspiracy theory. He suggested in a photo shared on his Facebook page that Zelensky was Soros’ “project” in Ukraine, and it met all his expectations. Therefore, Soros thought to create a similar scheme in Hungary, with Alex his heir, to overthrow Orbán. Other prominent Fidesz-close analysts and influencers shared his views.

Fidesz MP, István Boldog, also felt it important to highlight in a post that the “Hungarian Zelensky”, Ervin Nagy, is supposed to save the left side. Having said that, he warned that nobody should entrust a country’s leadership to third-class actors, reminding everyone of Zelensky’s catastrophic premiership as a cautionary tale.

Despite all, Mr Nagy said in an interview on Friday that he has not yet contemplated the idea of running for the leadership of Hungary.
