Long-awaited innovation to make public transport in Budapest easier

Real-time transfer options will appear on the interior displays of public transport vehicles on new routes in the Hungarian capital, Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced on Tuesday.

According to the announcement, after the Combino trams, passengers on trams 2, 23, 47 and 49 will also be immediately informed of where and which services they can transfer to, Pénzcentrum writes.

They added that after trams, passengers will also be able to find out about transfer options on trolleybuses and buses.

Thanks to this new feature, at stops and interchanges, the departure times of trains departing within half an hour will be displayed, showing not only the BKK service but also suburban trains and HÉVs.
