Italian ballet performance comes to Szeged

At the invitation of the Szeged Contemporary Ballet, the Szeged National Theatre will host a performance by the MM Contemporary Dance Company from Italy on 18 May as part of the 10th Theatre Olympics. Mauro Bigonzetti and Enrico Morelli’s BALLAD and ELEGIA_care landscapes will be performed at the Great Theatre in Szeged.

The name of Enrico Morelli is not unknown to Hungarian audiences: in collaboration with the Szeged Contemporary Ballet, he has created such successful choreographies as The Wedding, Coppélia, Orpheus and Eurydice and Moderato Cantabile.

The professional excellence of this popular dancer and choreographer is reflected in the fact that he has won numerous choreography competitions in Italy and in 2001, as a dancer, he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Italian Republic.
