High inflation has also brought the fall of the Hungarian forint!

The forint weakened against the euro even before the release of the Hungarian inflation data. The news of higher-than-expected inflation of 22.5 percent has made the Hungarian currency worth even less.

A day ago, the average price of a Euro was 411 forints, but now it is above 416 forints. According to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH), food prices have risen by almost 44 percent. Inflation, the highest in the European Union, has plunged the Hungarian currency to unprecedented lows, 24.hu writes.
