Breaking – foreign citizens not having TAJ number can register from today!

Not only they, but Hungarian citizens living abroad and not having a health insurance (TAJ) number can also register in the EESZT (Electronic Health Services Area) to get a vaccine in Hungary.

According to koronavirus.gov.hu, the Hungarian vaccination program reached a new cornerstone. Since 55 pc of the Hungarian population and 92 pc of those who registered received at least their first jab, the government decided to allow the vaccination of foreign citizens living in Hungary and Hungarian citizens living abroad even if they do not have a TAJ number.

These two groups can register from May on the www.vakcinainfo.gov.hu website. For the foreign individuals, there is

an English website, while the appointment reservation system of the EESZT opened for them today.

According to koronavirus.gov.hu, those who registered will receive an email that will include the link to the English language version of the appointment reservation program and an identification code (PID) generated by the EESZT system.

To book an appointment, you have to enter the website using the ID number you gave during your registration and the PID number you will receive in the email. You will be able to go to hospital vaccination centres. Furthermore,

you can choose from Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Sputnik V jabs.

It is crucial to bring your statement of consent (hozzájáruló nyilatkozat), which can be downloaded from HERE in Hungarian and from HERE in English.

Of course, if foreigners get inoculated in Hungary, they will receive a Hungarian immunity certificate with which they can travel to many countries. Read more about your travel options with a Hungarian immunity certificate below:
